The Metropolis Youth Mental Health Festival – Confab 2025, brought together young people, educators, and mental health advocates for a vibrant day of conversations, creativity, and community on 8th October 2025 at the Little Theatre Group, New Delhi.
Organised jointly by Sangath and the Youth for Mental Health Foundation, both partners in the Metropolis project, this year’s theme — Peer Power: Stories, Support, and Student Well-being — celebrated the strength of shared experiences and the role of young people in building supportive spaces for mental health.
As part of the festival, the Metropolis project hosted a special session titled “Stronger Together: The Saathi Support Way”, which spotlighted the Saathi Support Programme, Metropolis’ peer support initiative that equips college students with skills to listen, empathise, and support one another through everyday mental health challenges. Through stories, reflections, and interactive discussions, the session showcased how peer networks can be powerful sources of care, understanding, and resilience within student communities.
The festival also featured creative showcases, interactive activities, and youth-led dialogues, making it a space for connection and learning, and reaffirming the importance of youth voices in reimagining mental health support in educational settings.
