We’re thrilled to announce that our Saathi Support programme was featured at the 12th Nonprofit Sector Development Forum in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, held from October 7–9, 2025. This prestigious event, hosted at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, brought together global changemakers to discuss youth empowerment and mental health.
Our co-investigator Dr Pattie Gonsalves, presented insights from the programme, showcasing how peer-led support can transform student mental health on campuses across India. The session, titled “From crisis to capacity”, highlighted our formative research on designing the Saathi Support intervention and how peer support can bridge gaps in mental health support for students.
It was an inspiring opportunity to connect with leaders in nonprofit development and share our vision of building stronger, more resilient communities through youth-led mental health initiatives. For more on the forum, visit npsdforum.com.
